ELECTRIC FLUX: Definition And Properties

  • Electric Flux is defined as Number of Electric Lines of Force passing through the Specfic Area.
  •   Electric Flux is a Scalar Quantity because It is DOT product of the Two VECTORS
  • Electric Flux is Maxmium When it is perpendicular to the  Direction of Electric field and Electric Flux is Zero When it is Parallel To the Direction of Electric field.
  • It's S.I [Systeme Internationale] Unit is : Weber
  • Electric Flux is Measured by Fluxmeter
The Formula for Electric Flux Is :- ΦE = E⋅S = EScosθ
where  E= Electric field
           S= Surface area
           θ= Angle Between Electric field and normal of the Surface area (AREA VECTOR).
